Tiller steered sailboats often suffer from helmsman fatigue during long coastal transits in variable wind conditions. The Simrad TP10 Tillerpilot provides a self contained linear drive and processor system for automated steering. This unit delivers 143 pounds of maximum thrust for rudder control.
The unit features a waterproof internal fluxgate compass and simplified push button interface for course adjustments. Advanced software algorithms compensate for vessel motion to maintain heading stability without external sensors. The high impact polymer housing is rated for IPX6 environmental protection against heavy spray.
