By utilizing an independent processing hub, the system mitigates the CPU load on the main display, providing fluid redraw rates for SideScan and DownScan Imaging. This architectural efficiency ensures that professional navigators can monitor deep-water CHIRP returns and high-definition structure scans simultaneously, preventing tactical data loss during fast-moving offshore scouting.

During installation, the S3100H requires a dedicated high-speed Ethernet link to an HDS Pro, Live, or Carbon unit to leverage its full data-sharing potential. It is vital to mount the module in a ventilated area to prevent thermal throttling of the high-duty cycle digital processor. System performance depends on transducer shielding; don’t route the transducer cables parallel to high-voltage AC lines, as electromagnetic interference can degrade the target separation and introduce “vertical noise spikes” across the high-resolution IPS display scroll.
