The hardware processes specific NMEA 2000 PGN data to calculate corrected boat speed based on real-time heel angles. This integration removes mechanical latency from the hydrodynamic data stream for precise sailing telemetry.
Don’t ignore the potential voltage drop across a saturated NMEA 2000 backbone during full system operation. It’s critical to verify the total bus load before adding high-draw sensors like the DST-810. You’ll need an unobstructed Bluetooth path to calibrate the internal attitude sensor via the Airmar Cast application prior to launch.
