Description
If a transducer already lives on your transom from a previous chartplotter, paying for another one bundled in is money spent on hardware you won’t use. This version of the Element 9 HV Combo is the same HyperVision CHIRP and RealVision 3D display as the bundled model, just without the HV-100 transducer — built for retrofits and upgrades, not first-time installs.
Key Features
- Same HyperVision CHIRP and RealVision 3D sonar engine as the transducer-included version — nothing about imaging quality is scaled back by leaving the transducer out.
- 9″ optically bonded LCD — a different screen treatment than the sunlight-viewable panel on the bundled version, still built for outdoor visibility.
- Built-in 10Hz GPS/GNSS — no external antenna needed for position accuracy.
- LightHouse North America charts preloaded — navigation-ready before you’ve even connected a transducer.
- 20W typical power consumption — light enough on a boat’s electrical budget that adding it alongside existing electronics rarely requires a wiring upgrade.
Who This Is For
Built for anglers replacing an aging chartplotter who already have a compatible transducer installed, or anyone who wants to choose their own transducer rather than accept a bundled one. It’s the wrong pick if you’re starting from scratch — HyperVision and RealVision 3D need an HV-compatible transducer connected before they show anything, and none is included here.
Compatibility
Confirmed compatible: NMEA 2000 devices, SeaTalkNG networks, and Wi-Fi for the Raymarine app. HyperVision and RealVision 3D on this unit specifically require an HV-series transducer, such as the HV-100 sold separately — a standard CHIRP-only transducer from an older Raymarine unit won’t drive the imaging modes.

Warranty & Support
Covered by Raymarine’s 2-year standard limited warranty, extendable to 3 years free with online registration within 90 days of purchase.
The math on this one is straightforward: if an HV-compatible transducer is already installed or you’re buying one separately anyway, this version costs less for identical imaging performance. If you’re not certain your existing transducer is HV-compatible, the bundled version removes that risk entirely.
