Simrad GO9 XSE Chartplotter/Fishfinder w/MED/HI Downscan Transom Mount Transducer & C-MAP Discover Chart

Description

The Simrad GO9 XSE gives the helm a larger 9-inch multi-touch widescreen with C-MAP Discover North America charts and an included HDI Skimmer transducer. Medium/High CHIRP and DownScan are supplied through the transducer, while Broadband 3G/4G and Halo radar support allow the system to grow. NMEA 2000, Ethernet, and WiFi make it suitable for a connected coastal fishing or cruising installation.

Key Features

• 9-inch multi-touch widescreen – Provides more chart and sonar viewing area than a 7-inch display.
• 800 x 480 WVGA resolution – Keeps the display format compact while showing essential navigation information.
• HDI Skimmer transducer included – Provides Medium/High CHIRP and DownScan without a separate transducer purchase.
• C-MAP Discover North America charts – Provides preloaded chart coverage for supported North American waters.
• Radar and network support – Supports Broadband 3G/4G, Halo Dome/Open Array radar, Ethernet, NMEA 2000, and WiFi.

Who Is This For?

This unit suits coastal fishing boats, larger center consoles, small cruisers, and vessels that need more screen space than a 7-inch display provides. The included transducer makes it suitable for a new chartplotter and fishfinder installation.

It is not ideal for a very small console where a 9-inch screen would crowd other instruments. The included HDI transducer specification covers Medium/High CHIRP and DownScan, so buyers seeking advanced SideScan should confirm the required hardware.

Compatibility

Confirmed compatibility includes the HDI Skimmer transducer, C-MAP Discover North America charts, one Ethernet radar connection, NMEA 2000, WiFi, Broadband 3G/4G radar, and Halo Dome/Open Array radar. The supplied information does not identify NMEA 0183 or autopilot compatibility. No named incompatible system was provided; verify radar, transducer, and network requirements before installation.

The GO9 XSE is the larger-screen alternative to the GO7 XSR, giving you more room for charts, sonar, and radar data while retaining a compact installation compared with 12-inch MFDs. It also includes the HDI transducer and C-MAP Discover charts. The trade-off is that the 800 x 480 resolution remains the same as the GO7, so the main upgrade is physical screen size rather than pixel count.
