Simrad NSX 3012 Combo Chartplotter & Fishfinder – Display Only – No Transducer

Description

The Simrad NSX 3012 display-only package provides a 12-inch SolarMAX IPS touchscreen with 1280 x 800 resolution, C-MAP Discover X North America charts, and integrated CHIRP, SideScan, and DownScan support. No transducer is included, so this unit suits a planned Simrad installation where sonar hardware will be selected separately. The NEON Android-based operating system provides the platform for this large-format MFD.

Key Features

• 12-inch SolarMAX IPS touchscreen – Provides a large workspace for charts, sonar, and split-screen information.
• 1280 x 800 WXGA resolution – Gives more chart and data detail than the 7- and 9-inch NSX displays.
• Integrated CHIRP, SideScan, and DownScan support – Provides several sonar views when paired with a compatible transducer.
• C-MAP Discover X North America charts – Provides preloaded chart coverage for supported areas.
• NEON Android-based operating system – Provides the software platform used to operate the NSX MFD.

Who Is This For?

This model suits offshore fishing boats, larger center consoles, coastal cruisers, and multi-display helms that have room for a 12-inch screen. It is useful for buyers who want a large Simrad display and already have a transducer plan.

It is not ideal for a compact console or a buyer who wants a complete ready-to-fish package. The transducer is not included, so sonar installation requires separate hardware.

Compatibility

Confirmed features include C-MAP Discover X North America charts, integrated CHIRP, SideScan, DownScan, and the NEON operating system. The supplied information does not identify specific compatible transducers, NMEA 2000, Ethernet, WiFi, Bluetooth, radar, autopilot, or NMEA 0183 equipment. No named incompatible system was provided; verify Simrad network and transducer requirements before installation.

The NSX 3012 is the large-screen alternative to the NSX 3009 and 3007, giving you a 12-inch 1280 x 800 workspace for more comfortable chart and sonar viewing. The trade-off is that this version does not include a transducer, so it requires more planning than the bundled models. Choose it for a custom installation where screen size matters more than an all-in-one package.
