Garmin STRIKER Cast GPS Castable Sonar Device w/GPS

Description

The Garmin STRIKER Cast GPS turns a phone or tablet into a portable castable sonar system. Built-in GPS supports Quickdraw Contours and waypoints, while Bluetooth streaming reaches up to 200 feet or 60 meters. Its internal rechargeable battery provides more than 10 hours of operation, and the IPX7-rated housing is designed to be cast from shore, a dock, or a small boat.

Key Features

• Castable sonar device with GPS – Lets you send the unit away from the bank, dock, or boat to inspect underwater conditions.
• Built-in GPS – Supports Quickdraw Contours and waypoint recording through the compatible Garmin application.
• Bluetooth range up to 200 feet or 60 meters – Allows sonar data to stream to the paired mobile device within the stated range.
• Scanning depth from less than 2 feet to 150 feet – Covers shallow shoreline water through moderate fishing depths, depending on conditions.
• More than 10 hours of rechargeable battery life – Supports extended fishing sessions without carrying a separate battery pack.

Who Is This For?

This device suits bank anglers, dock fishermen, kayak users, and small-boat anglers who want portable sonar without installing a fixed display. It is particularly useful when you want to check depth and structure from shore before choosing a fishing position.

It is not ideal for offshore navigation, radar integration, or a permanent helm installation. Its 150-foot maximum scanning depth and Bluetooth connection are more limited than a full-size marine chartplotter and sounder.

Compatibility

Confirmed functions include Bluetooth streaming to a compatible mobile device, built-in GPS, Quickdraw Contours, and waypoint support. The supplied information does not confirm NMEA 2000, NMEA 0183, marine chartplotter, autopilot, or external transducer compatibility. No named incompatible system was provided; this product should be treated as a standalone castable sonar device.

Warranty & Support

Garmin provides a 1-year limited warranty. The supplied specifications do not state warranty exclusions or service procedures.

The STRIKER Cast GPS is a very different product from a fixed chartplotter: it is lighter, portable, and useful from shore, but it does not replace a helm-mounted navigation system. Choose it when casting sonar from a bank, dock, kayak, or small boat is the priority. Choose a Garmin ECHOMAP or GPSMAP unit if you need permanent charts, networking, radar, or a larger screen at the helm.
