Furuno FCV1150 12.1 Color Fishfinder

Description

The Furuno FCV1150 is a professional color fishfinder for commercial fishing boats, deep-water operators, and offshore vessels that need a dedicated sounder with selectable output power. Its 12.1-inch bonded LCD provides a large sonar workspace, while the Furuno free synthesizer covers 28-200kHz. This is a fishfinder, not a chartplotter, and the transducer must be selected for the boat.

The selectable 1kW, 2kW, or 3kW output lets the installer match the sounder to the transducer and fishing depth. Quick Gain, heaving compensation, and White Edge help the operator manage a sonar picture when the boat is moving or the bottom return is changing. Two NMEA 0183 interfaces provide the listed data connections. The 800 x 600 screen is built for dedicated sounder work, while the required transducer remains a separate purchase.

Key Features

• 12.1-inch bonded color LCD – Provides a large dedicated fishfinder display.
• 28-200kHz Furuno free synthesizer – Gives broad frequency flexibility for a professional installation.
• Selectable 1kW, 2kW, or 3kW output – Lets the system match its power to the selected transducer.
• Quick Gain and heaving compensation – Helps manage gain and stabilize the sonar image in moving water.
• White Edge display function – Adds a defined edge to bottom returns for easier interpretation.

Who Is This For?

This professional Furuno fishfinder suits commercial fishing vessels, charter boats, offshore deep-drop boats, and operators who need high-output traditional sonar. It is not ideal for buyers wanting GPS, charts, SideScan, or a transducer-included package.

Compatibility

Confirmed features include Furuno free synthesizer operation from 28-200kHz, selectable 1kW/2kW/3kW output, Quick Gain, heaving compensation, White Edge, and two NMEA 0183 interfaces. The supplied information does not identify specific transducers, NMEA 2000, radar, autopilot, or chartplotter compatibility. No named incompatible system was provided.

Warranty & Support

Furuno provides a 2-year limited warranty. The supplied specifications do not state warranty exclusions or service procedures.

The FCV1150 is the heavy-duty alternative to the Simrad S2009, with a larger display and selectable output up to 3kW. Its trade-off is installation scale and transducer cost. Choose it when the boat needs a professional high-output sounder for deeper commercial or offshore work, not a small recreational fishfinder.
