SI-TEX CVS-126 Dual Frequency Color Echo Sounder

Description

The SI-TEX CVS-126 is a compact dual-frequency color echo sounder for boats that need a dedicated 50/200kHz fishfinder without moving to a large commercial display. Its 5.7-inch vertical screen fits smaller helms and workboats, while 600W output gives the sounder useful conventional depth performance. The transducer is not included, so this unit suits an installation where the sensor will be selected separately.

The 50kHz channel is useful for broader depth coverage, while 200kHz gives a tighter, more detailed return in shallower water. KDF digital filtering and Sona-Tone processing help clean up the displayed sounder picture, and Auto Function reduces the amount of manual adjustment required. The 240 x 320 QVGA screen is compact rather than high definition, but it keeps the unit easy to fit. This is an echo sounder, not a chartplotter or scanning sonar system.

Key Features

• 5.7-inch digital color TFT – Provides a compact dedicated screen for traditional fishfinding.
• 50/200kHz dual frequency – Offers wider coverage and more detailed conventional sonar views.
• 600W output – Provides the listed sounder power with a suitable transducer.
• KDF digital filtering and Sona-Tone – Helps present a cleaner sonar return.
• Auto Function – Reduces manual adjustment during changing depth and bottom conditions.

Who Is This For?

This SI-TEX dual-frequency echo sounder suits small commercial boats, coastal fishing boats, and work vessels that need traditional 50/200kHz sonar. It is not ideal for buyers seeking GPS, charts, SideScan, or an included transducer; the sensor and mounting plan are separate.

Compatibility

Confirmed features include 50/200kHz dual-frequency sonar, KDF filtering, Sona-Tone, Auto Function, and a compatible transducer connection. The supplied information does not identify NMEA 2000, NMEA 0183, radar, autopilot, GPS, or chartplotter compatibility. No named incompatible system was provided; verify the transducer and installation requirements before purchase.

Warranty & Support

SI-TEX provides a 2-year limited warranty. The supplied specifications do not state warranty exclusions or service procedures.

The CVS-126 is a straightforward traditional sounder for buyers who want dual-frequency operation in a compact display. Its trade-off is limited system scope: no charting, GPS, networking, or modern scanning sonar is listed. Choose it for a planned conventional fishfinder installation where 50/200kHz sonar is the priority.
