High Current VRF and Sensor Analysis
Physical rudder feedback sensors often fail due to mechanical corrosion in harsh maritime bilge environments. The Simrad NAC-3 VRF Core Pack utilizes Virtual Rudder Feedback algorithms to eliminate mechanical linkages. This computer supports high-current drive units up to 30 amps.
The system integrates the Precision-9 compass for 9-axis heading, heave, roll, and pitch data. Connectivity is managed through an included NMEA 2000 starter kit for high-speed network telemetry. The solid-state architecture ensures reliable processing without internal moving components.
