Description
Equip a commercial or serious offshore vessel with Class A AIS capability using the em-trak A200 AIS Transceiver. Its SOTDMA transmission protocol, 12.5W output, integrated 72-channel GNSS receiver, and full-color display provide a dedicated AIS solution for vessels that need frequent position reporting and strong navigation-network integration. Need a Class A unit with flexible data connections at the helm? The A200 supports NMEA 2000, three NMEA 0183 ports, Wi-Fi, and USB while including a GNSS antenna, power/data cable, and mounting kit.

Integration
The A200 transmits and receives AIS data but requires a properly installed VHF AIS antenna or approved antenna splitter, GNSS antenna placement, vessel MMSI programming, and connection to compatible navigation equipment. It is not a radar, chartplotter, emergency beacon, or guaranteed collision-avoidance system.
Class A AIS installations are subject to regulatory, licensing, vessel-type, and flag-state requirements. Verify the correct MMSI, static-vessel data, antenna configuration, approved installation method, and local regulations before activating transmissions. AIS data depends on other vessels transmitting accurate information and may not represent every vessel or hazard.
Installation Notes
Install the unit where its display is accessible and the enclosure remains protected from direct impact and excessive heat. Mount the GNSS antenna with a clear sky view, route VHF and data cables away from high-current interference, and use correct circuit protection. Follow the manufacturer’s antenna-separation and grounding requirements.
Have a qualified marine-electronics technician configure the MMSI, vessel dimensions, call sign, draft, antenna offsets, reporting settings, NMEA interfaces, and Wi-Fi connection. Do not enter false vessel data or transmit until the unit is correctly registered and configured.
Before Ordering
Confirm Class A regulatory suitability, required MMSI and licensing, VHF/AIS antenna or splitter needs, GNSS antenna location, NMEA 2000/NMEA 0183 network connections, display requirements, 12V/24V power capacity, and professional programming support before ordering.
