Integration

The bundle includes an MFD and radar dome, but a complete installation may require charts, sonar transducer selection, a heading sensor, AIS source, NMEA 2000 backbone, Ethernet cabling, mounting hardware, and properly sized power circuits. Ethernet carries radar video, while NMEA 2000 distributes compatible GPS, heading, AIS, autopilot, and vessel-sensor data.

Installation Notes

Mount the 20-inch radome on a rigid, level surface with clear rotation and minimal blockage from antennas, masts, lights, rigging, exhaust, or roof structures. Install the 12-inch MFD at a protected helm position with suitable visibility, mounting depth, cable clearance, and access to controls.

Protect Ethernet, NMEA 2000, power, and optional sonar wiring from heat, chafe, bilge water, high-current wiring, and moving equipment. Follow Simrad requirements for fusing, grounding, safe distances, radar alignment, network setup, and software updates.
