Description
Stream receive-only AIS target data from a shore facility with the Digital Yacht AISnet AIS Base Station. Its dual-channel AIS receiver, integrated GPS time-stamping, and Ethernet output make it useful for marinas, harbors, clubs, monitoring sites, and private vessel-tracking installations that need a wired AIS data feed. Need a local AIS receiver that can share data with compatible network tools? AISnet monitors both AIS channels and can forward received information through Ethernet for software, local servers, or approved online AIS-services integration.
Key Specifications
- Digital Yacht AISnet shore-based AIS receiver and Ethernet base station.
- Dual-channel parallel AIS reception; receive-only with no AIS transmission capability.
- Receives AIS channels at 161.975 MHz and 162.025 MHz.
- Real-time AIS data output through RJ45 Ethernet.
- USB connection for setup and configuration.
- Integrated GPS receiver for precise AIS data time-stamping.
- Status LEDs for power and operating condition.
- 110V/220V AC operation through the included DC power adapter.

Integration
AISnet is a receive-only shore-base receiver, not a Class A/Class B transponder, marine VHF voice radio, chartplotter, radar, or outdoor antenna. It requires a suitable AIS/VHF receiving antenna, an Ethernet network connection, and compatible AIS viewing, logging, or data-forwarding software. It does not transmit vessel data or make a shore installation visible to vessels.
AIS reception quality depends on antenna height, antenna type, feedline condition, terrain, local RF noise, weather, and receiving-site placement. Any upload to an external AIS-tracking service is subject to the service’s terms, account requirements, coverage policies, and data-use rules.
Installation Notes
Install the unit indoors in a dry, ventilated location near a network connection and AC power source. Mount the AIS antenna as high and clear as practical, use low-loss coaxial cable, and keep antenna wiring separated from high-current electrical equipment and radio-frequency interference sources.
Connect Ethernet to a secure network, configure the unit using USB if required, and verify local target reception before enabling external data forwarding. Protect the unit from moisture, power surges, and accidental cable disconnection.
Before Ordering
Confirm indoor installation space, 110V/220V AC compatibility, Ethernet access, AIS antenna and coaxial-cable requirements, desired local software or online service integration, and network-security requirements before ordering.
