Integration

The MR-1010RII includes its own radar display, so a separate MFD is not required for basic radar viewing and control. AIS overlay requires a compatible AIS data source and appropriate configuration. ARPA, true trails, heading-up displays, and other navigation-dependent features may require compatible position, heading, or speed inputs.

The 36 NM value is an instrumented radar range and should not be treated as a guaranteed target-detection distance. Performance depends on scanner height, target size and composition, weather, precipitation, sea clutter, nearby structures, antenna alignment, and selected radar settings.

Installation Notes

Mount the radome on a rigid, level platform with a clear 360° scan path and practical height above the waterline. Install the display in a protected helm location where the controls and screen remain accessible. Keep the radome clear of crew areas, masts, antennas, rigging, lights, exhaust, and obstacles that can block or reflect radar energy.

Use correct circuit protection, route power and signal cables away from heat and high-current wiring, and follow Icom specifications for safe distances and bearing alignment. Radar is a navigation aid and does not replace visual lookout, safe speed, current charts, or compliance with navigation rules.
