Description
Bring a larger touchscreen, Doppler radar, and Active Imaging sonar into one Simrad package with the GO12 XSE HALO20+ Bundle. The 12-inch display pairs with a 20-inch solid-state radome and Active Imaging 3-in-1 transducer, giving boaters an integrated system for charting, sonar, radar, and vessel-data monitoring. Need more screen space for split radar and sonar views on a coastal or fishing boat? The HALO20+ adds VelocityTrack target coloring, independent dual-range operation, and up to 60 RPM scanning to the GO XSE platform.
Key Specifications
- Simrad GO12 XSE radar bundle with HALO20+ radar and Active Imaging 3-in-1 transducer.
- 12-inch touchscreen MFD with chartplotting, sonar, radar, GPS, Wi-Fi, and network support.
- 20-inch HALO20+ solid-state pulse-compression radar radome.
- 25W radar output with up to 36 NM instrumented range.
- 4.9° horizontal beamwidth and 25° vertical beamwidth.
- Up to 60 RPM scanner rotation with VelocityTrack Doppler target coloring.
- Independent dual-range radar operation and MARPA tracking for up to 10 targets with compatible heading and position inputs.
- Includes Active Imaging 3-in-1 transducer for CHIRP, SideScan, and DownScan imaging.
- Ethernet, NMEA 2000, and Wi-Fi connectivity.
- 12V/24V DC operation; listed draw is approximately 20W for radar and 20W for the MFD.
- IPX6 radar protection, IPX7 MFD protection, and a 100-knot wind rating for the radar dome.
Integration
The bundle includes primary display, radar, and transducer hardware, but installation may still require chart coverage, a heading sensor, AIS source, NMEA 2000 backbone, Ethernet components, mounting hardware, and power protection. Radar video travels through Ethernet, while NMEA 2000 can distribute compatible heading, GPS, AIS, autopilot, and vessel-sensor information.
VelocityTrack helps show relative target movement, while MARPA and radar overlay require valid heading and position data. Sonar performance depends on transducer placement, hull design, boat speed, water conditions, turbulence, electrical interference, and setup. These features support awareness but do not replace safe navigation or visual lookout.
Installation Notes
Mount the HALO20+ dome on a rigid, level platform with clear rotation and minimal obstruction. Position the GO12 XSE where the screen is visible and accessible from the helm. Install the Active Imaging transducer according to Simrad recommendations, away from propeller wash, hull strakes, steps, turbulence, and other sonar interference sources.
Protect power, Ethernet, NMEA 2000, and transducer cables from heat, chafe, bilge water, high-current wiring, and moving equipment. Follow Simrad installation guidance for fusing, network setup, radar alignment, transducer mounting, and software updates.
Before Ordering
Confirm GO12 helm space, chart coverage, radar-mount strength, dome clearance, transducer mounting suitability, 12V/24V electrical capacity, required Ethernet/NMEA 2000 components, and heading/GPS/AIS sensor needs before ordering.
