Integration

The MD-625 requires a compatible monitor, MFD, NVR, or IP-video viewer. Select analog video or Ethernet H.264 streaming according to the display and network configuration. It is not a chartplotter, radar, GPS unit, NMEA 2000 device, or standalone recording system.

The cited approximate detection distances—about 2,700 ft for a person and 1.2 NM for a vessel—are conditional estimates rather than guaranteed detection or recognition ranges. Thermal imagery depends on heat contrast, weather, humidity, sea state, spray, target size, range, lens condition, and mounting angle.

Installation Notes

Choose a rigid fixed deck, mast, or hardtop location with a clear view in the intended direction. Because the camera does not pan or tilt automatically, verify the field of view before drilling. Keep the lens clear of rails, rigging, exhaust, deck lights, antennas, radar shadowing, and obstructions.

Use sealed Ethernet or analog-video connections, appropriate PoE or 12V/24V power equipment, correct circuit protection, and protected cable routing. Regularly inspect the lens, mount, housing, seals, and connections after saltwater exposure.
